Description of Services
The Town of Chapel Hill operates bus service to Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Pittsboro and Hillsborough as well as EZ Rider (Para transit service). Chapel Hill also provides a range of commuter resources for the Chapel Hill - Carrboro area including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Click here to see our System Map.

- Dump the Pump: Be sure on June 21st to leave your car at home and use alternative transportation. Meet at the Southern Village Park & Ride Lot and pick up some Dump the Pump thank you incentives! Use less gas by riding Chapel Hill Transit, save money, clean up the air and FEEL GREAT!
- Go Chapel Hill Commute Club: Sign up for the Chapel Hill Commute Club to use alternative transportation and receive wonderful incentive coupons and other fun items!
- Bike In Concert & Movie Series: June 28th begins a series of Thursday night concerts and movies on Wallace Deck in Chapel Hill. Come join the Locally Grown crowd for this great set of musicians and family movies each Thursday night! For more information go to http://www.downtownchapelhill.com/locally-grown .
- Walking Wednesdays: Chapel Hill Carrboro Businesses-- Please use alternative transportation on Wednesday's to get to and from work. Walk, cycle, carpool - anything except a single occupancy vehicle and always remember safety first!
- Try Fare Free: Chapel Hill Transit everyday for errands, for recreation and social travel as well as to get back and forth to work!

- What a Great Month... to use Chapel Hill Transit to ride to work and then get around for a great afternoon lunch break and THEN completing your day with an easy ride home!!!
- Park & Rides: No bus where you live? Then drive to a Park and Ride and decrease the stress of trying to find a parking space near your workplace while leaving the stress of downtown traffic behind!!! Utilize the Park & Ride Lots around Chapel Hill!

- Get Involved & Volunteer: Multiple opportunities exist for becoming involved with alternative transportation in the Town of Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Contact Len Cone regarding opportunities to service on Boards and Commissions such as Greenways, Transporation, Parks & Recreation and the Bike and Pedestrian boards.
