Go OnDemand Shuttles

What is Go OnDemand?

Beginning January 2nd, 2018, GoTriangle will replace RTP shuttles (Shuttles 42, 46, 47 and 49) with on-demand transit services. These services will allow riders to request a ride through the TransLoc Rider app by selecting pickup and dropoff locations.

Riders may now hail GoTriangle shuttle service within RTP and surrounding areas from their phone or online using the TransLoc Rider app, Monday through Friday. You may request rides anytime between 6am and 6pm, with final drop off at 6:30pm. Download TransLoc Rider in the Apple Store or on Google Play. You can also book a trip from your desktop at ondemand.transloc.com. If you don't have an internet connection, just call GoTriangle at (919) 314-8777 to request services.

After a fare-free period, through June 30, 2018, introducing the on-demand services, fares would be $2.25 a trip with free transfers to other non-express routes, identical to our existing shuttle fares.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you changing from fixed route to OnDemand?
On-demand transit services offer greater flexibility. Instead of being held to a fixed route at fixed times, riders will be able to request rides as needed. This creates streamlined routing and scheduling, allowing GoTriangle to manage a larger service area during longer hours during the workday.

How can I hail a ride?
Riders may request a ride on the TransLoc Rider app, Monday through Friday, between 6am and 6pm, with final drop off at 6:30pm. You can also book a trip from your desktop at ondemand.transloc.com. If you don't have an internet connection, you would simply call (919) 314-8777. Scroll down for a how-to video!

How will I know the ride is on the way? Can I track it?
You can track your ride through the TransLoc Rider app. Download the app in the Apple Store or on Google Play.

Can I schedule a future trip?
You may do this in the app. (Scroll down for a how-to video!) At this time you cannot schedule a recurring pick up.

Where will the shuttle go?
Click here to view a pdf of the service area map. The list of all stops available are listed here.

Will the shuttles be wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There is a question in the app where you may indicate the need for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

What is the average wait time?
15-30 minutes. Keep in mind this is a pilot so we may see that average time increase or decrease based on usage. We will continue to include you on updates and please provide feedback throughout your use of the shuttles during this pilot period.
