Purchasing FAQ

Currently, only regional passes are available for purchase online. The GoTriangle Customer Service staff processes these transactions. These staff work at a Triangle Transit location, and therefore have triangletransit.org email addresses.

Why can't I buy CAT, DATA, or C-Tran passes online?

The GoTriangle partners are discussing options for making all local and regional pass types available for online purchase.

Who do I contact if I need assistance?

If you have any questions or need assistance purchasing your pass(es) online, then please contact GoTriangle Customer Service at 919-485-RIDE (7433), or send an email to CustomerService@triangletransit.org.

Customer Service hours of operation are 7am - 10pm (M - Fr); 8am - 5pm (Sat)

What is the refund policy?

All pass sales are final and are non-refundable. Lost, stolen, or altered passes will not be replaced.

Is there a shipping and handling charge?

Yes. We charge a $1.00 shipping and handling fee per transaction.

Is paying online secure?

Yes! We use the latest technology offered by PayPal to ensure that your online purchase is secure. Read additional information about Security & Privacy.

When will I receive my pass?

We will mail your pass within one business day of your purchase. If you never receive a pass or passes that you purchased online, then please contact GoTriangle Customer Service at 919-485-RIDE (7433), or send an email to CustomerService@triangletransit.org.

Please Note: If you purchase your pass(es) using an eCheck, then we will not ship your pass(es) until the eCheck has cleared, which typically takes 3 to 5 business days.

Can I use my debit card?

As long as your debit card has a Visa or Mastercard logo, then you can use it to purchase your pass.

What type of credit card can I use?

You can buy your pass or shirt online with a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express credit card. You may also pay using an ECheck (electronic check).

Please Note: If you purchase your pass(es) using an eCheck, then Triangle Transit will not ship your pass(es) until the eCheck has cleared, which typically takes 3 to 5 business days.

When can I purchase my pass?

You can purchase your pass anytime, 24 hours a day...7 days a week! Transactions are processed by GoTriangle Customer Customer Service Monday - Saturday. All passes will be mailed within one (1) business day of the online transaction date.

Who is selling the passes?
